A friend recently relayed a startling personal experience, which I found to be very informative. He was working one day when a bunch of stuff fell on him on a construction site. He was injured pretty badly in some ways but in others he was lucky to come out relatively unscathed thanks to the proper safety equipment.
Among other things, a bunch of heavy plates fell on his foot. Without proper protection, the load might have severed toes or crushed his foot enough that it would have required amputation. Needless to say, my friend never misses a chance to recommend Sketchers work boots.
Their sneakers are very comfy if you're going to be on your feet a lot, so I've long been a fan of their athletic shoes but had no idea that they made work or safety gear. Although I work in construction peripherally myself, I do have use for safety equipment on occasion & decided to buy my own pair. In addition to being very comfortable, they're the most watertight boots I've ever owned. And if I were able to describe the extent of my vast shoe collection, you'd be very impressed.
I'm a rigid brand loyalist so to show my appreciation, there are various links to the Sketchers site in this post & on the home page. I can't say enough good things about their product. Sketchers get a big thumbs up & a thanks for saving my friend's foot.
