Pet Peeves: Diversity

Okay, I'm not some sort of racial supremicist or hatemonger so don't get your undies in a bunch. I have a valid, rational point to make that won't offend or insult anyone, just hear me out.

Personal pet peeves: constant demand for "diversity" in everything

True diversity would be allowing everyone to do what comes naturally. If we insist on creating a calculated variety in every possible group of people, aren't we in fact acting in complete opposition to diversity?

I'm constantly hearing about the "need" for diversity but I just don't see why we'd want to follow such a prescription. Mandating diversity will only serve to completely homogenize the entire nation.

If society manipulates all organizations to the point that everything is a conglomeration of every possible lifestyle, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, language, body-type, social conflaguration, etc. then everything will be exactly the same, won't it?

Hmmm, that sure seems to be exacerbating the problem instead of solving it.
